Please come and try the Norwich Folk Ensemble. It's a great opportunity to play with other folk musicians in the area and we're having a great time so far. Some new tunes regulaly and plenty of others to revisit. New comers very welcome.

A chance to play folk tunes together in Norwich.

The Norwich Folk Ensemble is a new venture and I'm very excited about it as it's rather different from a session and it's going to be accessible to a wide range of musicians with varying abilities. At least that is my intention! Please note though that It will not be suitable for complete beginners.

I will be leading it and providing different parts to play, and I want to focus on ensemble playing and how we can achieve a great sound as a group. if you don't read music there are usually mp3 recordings of each tune on this website too. See the event tunes page

Come along and give it a try, even if you're not sure. I'm certain we will all have a great time.

See the Event Tunes page for the tunes

The evening will be led by Paul Keeler of The Norwich Slow Session and will include tea snd coffee at the start. We also have a quick break in the middle of the evening but not a full tea break, as it takes too long! Please bring a music stand if you need one.
